CredentialVault Cookie Policy
Effective date: July 22, 2026
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Goldenstandards LLC ("CredentialVault," "we") uses cookies and similar technologies on credentialvaults.com (the "Service").
The Short Version
We use only the cookies necessary to make the Service work — primarily to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or sell data derived from cookies.
What Cookies We Use
Essential cookies (always active). These are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off in our systems:
- Authentication/session cookies — keep you signed in to your account and maintain your session securely as you move between pages. Set when you sign in; expire when your session ends or after a period of inactivity.
- Security and platform cookies — our hosting platform (Base44, on Google Cloud infrastructure) may set cookies necessary to route requests, balance load, and protect against abuse.
What we do not use:
- No advertising or marketing cookies
- No third-party analytics trackers that profile you across other websites
- No social media tracking pixels
Third-Party Services
When you take certain actions, third parties you interact with may set their own cookies under their own policies — for example, Stripe when you enter a checkout or billing portal (payment processing), or LinkedIn if you choose to share a credential there. We do not control those cookies; see each provider's own cookie policy.
Public Verification Page
Visiting the public verification page does not require an account and does not set authentication cookies. Verification lookups are logged as described in our Privacy Policy (code entered, result, timestamp, and basic technical information such as IP address), but we do not use cookies to track verifiers across sites.
Managing Cookies
Because we use only essential cookies, there is no cookie-preference banner to configure. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies will prevent signing in to the Service. Public credential verification works without signing in.
Changes
We may update this policy if our cookie use changes — for example, if we ever add analytics. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
